Cassolnovo is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) in the province of Pavia in Lombardy . The municipality is located about 34 kilometers northwest of Pavia , about 32 kilometers west-southwest of Milan and about 17.5 kilometers southeast of Novara am Ticino . Cassolnovo borders directly on the metropolitan city of Milan and the province of Novara as well as on the Parco naturale lombardo della Valle del Ticino . Cassolnovo also borders the following municipalities: Abbiategrasso , Cerano , Grave Lomellina , Sozzago , Terdobbiate , Tornaco , Vigevano .
