Torrazza Coste is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1608 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Pavia in Lombardy . The municipality is located about 24 kilometers south-southwest of Pavia in the Oltrepò Pavese and belongs to the Comunità Montana Oltrepò Pavese .

history

The remains of a temple of Diana show that the earlier Roman settlement was of some importance. In a diploma from Friedrich I from the 12th century, the place is mentioned as Turris Centum Costarum .

The former station of Torrazza Coste was on the Voghera – Varzi railway line until it was closed in 1966.
