San Genesio ed Uniti is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 3952 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Pavia in Lombardy . The municipality is located about 5.5 kilometers north-northeast of Pavia on the Olona .

history

The community was founded as Sanctus Genexius . Sanctus Genexius appears for the first time in the 12th century as a chapel in the diocese of Pavia. In 1871 the present community was formed including the formerly independent communities Ponte Carate and Comairano .
