Cozzo is a municipality ( comune ) with 367 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in southwestern Lombardy in northern Italy in the province of Pavia .

geography

The municipality is located about 42 kilometers west of Pavia in the Lomellina .

history

Cuttiae existed here in ancient times . In 1890 the current district of Colpenchio was incorporated.

traffic

The former Strada Statale 596 dir dei Cairoli (now a provincial road) leads through the municipality from Castello d'Agogna to Casale Monferrato . The Cozzo train station is on the Mortara – Asti railway line .
