Pieve Porto Morone is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 2655 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Pavia in Lombardy . The municipality is located about 26 kilometers east-southeast of Pavia and borders directly on the province of Piacenza . The Po forms the southern municipal boundary.
history
The community was first mentioned in 1164 as Plex Porti Moronus . In the 18th century, the current district of Casoni was incorporated.
