Villanterio is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 3396 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Pavia in Lombardy . The municipality is located about 16.5 kilometers east-northeast of Pavia am Lambro . Villanterio borders directly on the province of Lodi .

history

In the 12th century a lanterio's court was built here. This gives the name Villa Lanteri . The name was first mentioned in a document in 1164.
