The Lambro ( Lombard : Lamber or Lambar ) is a tributary of the Po in the Italian region of Lombardy . Its length is around 130 kilometers. The source of Lambro Menaresta is on Monte San Primo (1685 meters), the highest mountain in the Triangolo Lariano , which divides Lake Como in two. The river flows south through Monza , east past Milan and flows into the Po at Orio Litta .

For decades the Lambro (together with the Olona ) had to absorb the untreated sewage from the city of Milan.

In February 2010 the Lambro was contaminated with diesel and heating oil due to the environmental disaster on the Lambro .
