Santa Maria della Versa is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 2299 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Pavia in Lombardy . The municipality is located about 25 kilometers southeast of Pavia in the Oltrepò Pavese on the Versa , borders directly on the province of Piacenza ( Emilia-Romagna ) and belongs to the Comunità Montana Oltrepò Pavese .

history

The district of Soriasco is the historic center of the municipality, which is first mentioned at the end of the 9th century. In 1893 Soriasco's name was changed to what it is today.
