geography
The municipality is located in southwestern Lombardy in northern Italy in the province of Pavia, about 30.5 kilometers west-southwest of the provincial capital Pavia and about 50 kilometers southwest of the regional capital Milan in the Lomellina area .
The place is at 90 m slm and in the climatic classification of Italian communities in zone E, 2 619 GG.
Villa Biscossi has no districts; the neighboring municipalities are Galliavola , Lomello , Mede and Pieve del Cairo .
history
The place was first mentioned in 1219 as Villa Piperatorum or Villa Piperis in a document from Frederick II , with which he defined the boundaries of the Lomellina area . The current name of the place refers to the Biscossi family, who ruled the place from the end of the 14th century.
