Gravellona Lomellina is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 2738 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Pavia in Lombardy . The municipality is located about 34 kilometers west-northwest of Pavia and about 17 kilometers southeast of Novara and borders directly on the province of Novara .
economy
The most important sector of the economy is agriculture, especially the intensive cultivation of rice. In addition, poplars and maize are grown. There is also a small industrial area.
Culture
Since 1992, the Festa dell'Arte festival has been held on the first weekend in June with folklore and art events. Works of art such as B. frescoes and wall paintings, shapes made of wrought iron on the roofs and mosaics on the sidewalks are presented.
