Casorate Primo is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 8893 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Pavia in Lombardy . The municipality is located about 17 kilometers northwest of Pavia and about 21 kilometers southwest of Milan and borders directly on the metropolitan city of Milan . To the west of Casorate Primo, the Ticino (Ticino) flows through the Parco Lombardo Valle del Ticino .
history
In 849 Casorate (Primo) was given to the Bishop of Pavia by Lothar I. The community received its current name affix in 1863.
