Klappe die 2te was released on April 21, 1997 with an identical song sequence under the title § , in which the name of the band was changed to Jazzy Lee Ricky . The reason was an injunction from an advertising agency of the same name, which for a short time forbade the band to call themselves Tic Tac Toe .

Republication

On December 1, 1997, the record was released as a new edition. It contains four further remixes of individual songs. These are fuck off , why? , Mr. Important and please don't kiss me . The song Verpiss' dich comes from the debut album Tic Tac Toe , which was released in 1996. The re-release was closely related to a press conference called by the band's management at the Munich Lustspielhaus, at which Lee, Jazzy and Ricky yelled at each other in front of the cameras.

reception

The album appeared in the midst of media coverage of the tabloids aimed at scandals, which mainly focused on the past of Liane Wiegelmann. Maxim Biller threw in Zeit magazine the in connection with the song Why? The question that arises is whether Lee would have become a great, poignant, tragic star elsewhere with her ballad of drugs, slum, and death.
