Jazzy (2006)

Jazzy (born August 4, 1975 in Gelsenkirchen ; actually Marlene Victoria Tackenberg ) is a German pop-rap singer. She became known as a member of the German girl group Tic Tac Toe .

Life

Jazzy is the daughter of a German and a French woman with African roots. After the music manager Claudia Wohlfromm discovered Jazzy in a club, the then 20-year-old became a member of the newly founded German pop-rap group Tic Tac Toe in 1995 . By the time the band broke up in 2000, Tic Tac Toe had sold over six million records and received numerous music awards such as the Echo and the Comet .

After the band ended, Jazzy initially withdrew from the public eye to rearrange her life, until she decided to pursue a solo career in 2004. At the beginning of 2004 she took part in Comeback - The Great Chance at ProSieben, but was eliminated in the first motto show. For the sampler for the show, she released her own version of the tic-tac-toe song Verpiss Dich and a cover of Hurray, hurray, the school is burning . With the other show participants, she released the single Survivor as part of Comeback United , which made it to number 22 in the German single charts.

In September 2004 she and the Soundpool producer team released her solo single Steh 'auf (Live your dreams) , which was supposed to support the IHK 's campaign of the same name on the subject of training and which included an appearance at the German youth fair YOU and a school tour. She also presented the song on ZDF TV Garden , NBC Giga and the NDR Talk Show .

In November 2005, the founding members of Tic Tac Toe revived their band until it broke up again in January 2007. Jazzy then worked as a presenter for the music channel Yavido and as a co-presenter on the morning show on Antenne Koblenz. She also took acting lessons and worked as a waitress in an Italian restaurant in Berlin-Friedrichshain . In 2009 she was seen in the four-hour VOX documentary fairy tales without a happy ending , which was about formerly successful people. Also in 2009 she took part as a candidate for The Perfect Celebrity Dinner .

From September 2010 to June 2011 she played in the musical Starcut in the Delphi Showpalast Hamburg. In January 2012, she took part as a contestant in the sixth season of I'm a Star - Get Me Out of Here! part. On the eleventh day, she received the fewest votes in the telephone voting and was the fourth candidate to leave the camp. In October 2012 Jazzy stood in front of the camera for the first time with her former bandmate Ricarda Wältken . For a SIXT advertising campaign , they interpreted the tic tac toe song I find you shit new.

After a year on Mallorca , Jazzy moved back to Berlin in January 2013 . In February 2013, her second solo single, Immer auf die Fresse, was released . For the accompanying music video, she bared herself except for a skin-colored slip on Berlin's Kudamm . She also used the song as an opening anthem for her participation in the big Sat.1 celebrity boxing , in which she competed and won against Georgina Fleur . In autumn 2013, Tackenberg moved to her partner near Cannes and gave birth to a daughter in early June 2014. Her move to France was in November 2015 in an episode of Goodbye Germany! Documented the emigrants .
