Comeback - The big chance was a TV show that was broadcast on ProSieben in 2004. It was moderated by Arabella Kiesbauer and produced by Constantin Entertainment . The show consisted of ten episodes with a total duration of about two hours each. It could be seen on Mondays and occasionally Fridays at 8:15 p.m. The final was broadcast on April 5, 2004, followed by a best of a week later.
Procedure and aftermath
The aim of the show was to find an artist who should then have a comeback . The participants were artists who had previous successes in the charts , but had no major success for a long time immediately before the show. The candidates were Benjamin Boyce , Chris Norman , CC Catch , Coolio , Haddaway , Limahl , Emilia , Jazzy and Markus , as well as the Weather Girls , who prevailed against Jürgen Drews and Gunter Gabriel in the first edition . The participants performed live in front of the audience and the jury. In the first show, they each interpreted their biggest hit. This was followed by motto shows in which other titles were sung. The jury consisted of Harold Faltermeyer and Anastasia Zampounidis as well as a weekly guest judge such as Joey Kelly or Uwe Fahrenkrog-Petersen . At the end of the show, one participant was eliminated through the audience voting.
Chris Norman won ahead of Benjamin Boyce and Coolio. The prize consisted of the recording of an album and a tour of Germany. Norman could not build on earlier successes.
