Benjamin John Boyce (born August 23, 1968 in Edgware , London ) is a British singer living in Germany .

Life

Boyce is the son of a pianist and a cellist. After his parents separated, Boyce lived with his mother in the Netherlands. He studied graphic design in Canada. Boyce went to the United States to become an actor and, on his return to the Netherlands, received minor roles in TV commercials and films. In 1996 he met the presenter Aleksandra Bechtel through his frequent appearances at the music channel VIVA . He was in a relationship with her until 2001. In 1997 the Englishman moved to Germany. He lived in Cologne between 1997 and 2009 . At the end of 2009 he moved to Amsterdam . In October 2007 Boyce had a daughter. Boyce has been living in Cologne again since 2015.

Career

He started his career in 1992 as a member of the Anglo-Dutch boy group Caught in the Act (CITA). With his bandmates Bastiaan Ragas , Eloy de Jong and Lee Baxter , he sold more than 20 million records worldwide between 1992 and 1998. After the band broke up in 1998, he started his solo career. With the single Change and the album Benjamin Boyce , which were published by Sony Music , he was able to place himself in the German charts.

Boyce was seen in two episodes of Unter Uns on December 29 and 30, 2000 , in which he played himself and presented his single Lonely . In 2002 Boyce starred in the German comedy Wen kisses the bride? With.

After a long break, Boyce took part in the TV show Comeback - The Big Chance at Pro-Sieben in 2004 , in which he finished second behind Chris Norman , the former singer of the band Smokie . In the same year he released his single Where Is Your Love .
