The Winner Is ... (English for "The winner is ...") is a German-Dutch talent game show that was broadcast from April 11 to May 25, 2012 by the television station Sat.1 . It is based on an idea by John de Mol . The German edition was produced by Talpa and Schwartzkopff TV Productions .
64 music acts from eight different categories compete against each other in knockout battles. The decision on who progresses, making a 101-member audience jury, chaired by Mousse T. has. The candidates can then assess their performance and play with the other candidate for a cash prize. After consulting with family members or friends, either one of them can take the money or both can choose the “all or nothing” decision, which is then decided by the jury. In every battle the possible winnings increase. While at the beginning it was still 5000 euros per battle, in the final the respective winners of the eight categories compete against each other for one million euros. A viewer voting is also included here.
