Rainer Garden

Rainer Garden (born May 26, 1951 in Gera ) is a German musician and entertainer .

Life

Rainer Garden was born in 1951 in Gera, Thuringia. From 1967 to 1969 he completed an apprenticeship as a mechanical engineer. He then worked underground at SDAG Wismut as a repair fitter.

In addition to his professional activity, he took private classical singing lessons. In 1973 he moved to Berlin , where he studied guitar and singing at the Hanns Eisler University of Music . In 1976 he finished his studies and has worked as a vocal soloist ever since. Numerous appearances followed in the GDR and countries such as Cuba, the ČSSR, the USA, Poland, Mongolia and Bulgaria.

On television he appeared in programs such as Ein Kessel Buntes , Bong , the Schlagerstudio or Musik für Sie .

A daughter was born from the marriage with the TV announcer Antje Garden . In 1993 Antje Garden died in a car accident in Dresden . After this stroke of fate, Rainer Garden withdrew from the stage for the time being. In 1998 there was another single, Here I want to stay . In 1999 he released his first solo album Country Garden , with which he turned musically to country music . Since 2007, Garden has been performing again and released more singles.

In autumn 2011 Rainer Garden released the EP Christmas Peace with five Christmas carols . In 2012 he appeared on the talent show The Winner Is… .
