Lucy Diakovska , actually Bulgarian Людмила Любомирова Дяковска Lyudmila Lyubomirowa Djakowska (born April 2, 1976 in Pleven , Bulgaria ), also written Lucy Diakowska and occasionally performed as Lucylicious , is a German pop and musical singer. She was a member of the German girl group No Angels .

Life

youth

As the oldest child of the Bulgarian opera singer Ljubomir Djakowski and his wife Rossiza Djakowska, a concert pianist, Djakowska came into contact with music at an early age. Like her younger brother Alexander Djakowski (* 1983), she stood on stage for the first time at the age of six.

After graduating from high school in 1995, Lucy moved from Plewen to Hamburg , where she attended the Stage School of Music, Dance and Drama . Without finishing her training, Diakovska left school after five semesters and a short time later in June 1997 got a permanent engagement in the musical Buddy , where she had previously worked as a “girl for everything”.

In 1999 Diakovska was temporarily a background dancer at the live performances of the Wamdue Project , when it had a dance floor hit with King of My Castle . In an edition of the Ultimate Chart Show on RTL in 2005, she confessed that she was “still waiting for her money” for this job.

No Angels

In September 2000, Diakovska was one of five (originally around 4,500) young women who were selected as members of the girl group No Angels after a successful audition, recall and subsequent workshop on Mallorca / Spain as part of the first season of the RTL II singing competition Popstars . At the beginning of February 2007 she started a No Angels comeback together with Jessica Wahls , Sandy Mölling and Nadja Benaissa . From 2010 she concentrated again on her solo career while the band took a break. Since then, the No Angels have only come together as a trio for isolated appearances. In June 2014, she announced that the band had finally split up.

Solo career

After the band broke up in November 2003, Diakovska completed various solo appearances and joint projects, including with the Harlem Gospel Singers. In early 2004 she appeared in the musical Jekyll & Hyde as well as in a guest appearance in Cats .

On December 16, 2004, the first fun competition in diving , organized by Stefan Raab , took place in the Olympic swimming pool in Munich , which Diakovska won in the individual competition. In 2005, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 she also took part in the Wok World Cup, where she won the bronze medal in 2011, the silver medal in 2012 and 2013. She was also a long-time member of the jury in the karaoke show Shibuya , which was shown on VIVA .

In September 2004 Diakovska finally released her first solo single Where , the title song for the movie Zwei Brüder , under her newly founded label "Schmanky Records". A year later, under the pseudonym Lucylicious, her second solo single The Other Side followed . The album of the same name was released on September 5, 2005 and reached 84th place in the German album charts.

In October and November 2006 she took part in the show Stars on Ice on ProSieben . Her partner was Silvio Smalun , with whom she took third place in the final.

In 2008 she was a jury member for the second season of the show Music Idol (Bulgarian version of Deutschland sucht den Superstar ). Also in 2008 she was a member of the Starmania jury .

From December 2008 to January 2009 Diakovska was in the musical The 13½ Lives of Captain Blue Bear in the role of Fredda to see.

For the DVD and Blu-ray release of the Disney film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Diakovska sang the classic Some Day My Prince Will Come in German ( I wait for you, my prince ) as the theme song.

In 2010 she won the 1500 cc class of the TV total Stock Car Crash Challenge . She is the only woman to win an award at this event.

In 2011 Diakovska presented the program Tuning - It doesn't get any deeper for the private broadcaster Motorvision TV . In August she completed her first own tour under the name Summer Rocks and played 14 evenings in the branches of Bar Cafe & Bar Celona all over Germany.

In April 2012 she took part in the talent game show The Winner Is ... , where she was eliminated from Dante Thomas . In July 2012, she took part in the Web vs. Celebrity , moderated by Daniel Budiman . Also in 2012, Lucy Diakovska formed the jury of the 10th season of pop stars together with Ross Antony , Senna Guemmour and Detlef Soost . Diakovska also played in the music video of the EM song Alle Mann by rapper Azad .

From September to October 2012 Diakovska worked for 47 days as a candidate in the Bulgarian VIP version of Big Brother , in which her then partner Kamelia Veselinova also moved in. Diakovska also appeared as a celebrity guest in the German version of Big Brother in 2009.

In 2013 Diakovska opened her own café in her home country Bulgaria with Kamelia Veselinova. Diakovska also appeared as a star guest in some Bulgarian television programs.

From September 13, 2013 to September 22, 2013, she appeared as a candidate in the television show Promi Big Brother on Sat.1. Since summer 2014 Diakovska has been involved in the Deutsche Post AG women's run , the so-called Deutsche Post Ladies Run , in which she takes part in every run. From November 2014 to January 2015 Diakovska played the fairy godmother Jolanda in Cinderella - the fairytale pop musical . In January 2015 she released the single Ja lublu tebja means I love you , which she had previously presented on Florian Silbereisen in the show Das Fest der Beste . She toured Germany for four months with Florian Silbereisen and other actors. The tour took place under the name Das Fest der Feste 2015 - The party goes on . In May 2015, Diakovska announced the separation from her fiancé, whom she wanted to marry in the same year. From June 19 to July 12, 2015 she played the role of Magenta in the staging of The Rocky Horror Show on Magdeburg Cathedral Square. From July 2015, as in 2011, she appeared in many branches of the Bar Cafe & Bar Celona under the name Summer Disco Tour and was seen as a jury member of the show X-Factor Bulgaria on Bulgarian television from autumn 2015 .

On the occasion of the Lady Run event series , Diakovska released the single Laufen durch die Stadt in 2016 . In July 2019, she took part in the ProSieben program The Masked Singer in an octopus costume . From October 2019 she will play the role of Wanda in the comedy Tussipark for one month at the Kammertheater Karlsruhe .
