Goodbye to Yesterday ( dt .: Farewell to Yesterday ) is a song by German Pop - girl group No Angels in 2007. It was the first single from her fourth studio album Destiny , which the group tried a comeback.

The track was written and produced in January 2007; it is the eighth track on the album. Tobias Eichelberg and Twin produced the piece; Niklas Hafeman worked as a co-producer. The lyrics were written by Niclas Molinder, Joacim Persson, Pelle Ankarberg and David Jassy. The guitars were played by Klas Olofsson, Joacim Persson and Niko Valsamidis, while the bass was Tobias Eichelberg. The video for the song was presented on February 22, 2007 at ProSieben . The single was released on March 16, 2007.
Music video
The music video for the song was shot on February 9, 2007 in the Berlin Union Studios in Berlin-Tempelhof . Marcus Sternberg directed the shooting of the video . He also shot the video for Something About Us with the No Angels . The filming of the Goodbye to Yesterday video took a total of 17 hours and cost 90,000 euros, which the band members paid for themselves. All band members sing a verse alone, but can be seen together during the chorus. The video was first broadcast on ProSieben on February 22, 2007 .
Charts and chart placements
Goodbye to Yesterday rose to position four in the German single charts. In the 2007 annual charts, the single reached number 61. In Switzerland , the title reached number 16. This chart position was the group's most successful since their 2002 single Still in Love with You . In Austria , the title rose to position 21 in the Austria Top 40.
