Aleksandra "Aleks" Martha Justine Bechtel (born October 1, 1972 in Hilden ) is a German television presenter .

Life

Bechtel is the daughter of a German lawyer and a Finnish teacher .

After graduating from high school , she toured the United States with a music band . She then completed an apprenticeship as a publishing clerk at the Cologne music publisher VeraBra. During her apprenticeship, she started working as a video jockey for the then new TV station VIVA in 1993 . Later she also presented the shows Interaktiv and Amica TV there .

Together with Matthias Opdenhövel led Bechtel 1996-1998 by the RTL-2 telecast Please smile . After the Dutch television producer John de Mol became aware of Bechtel, he hired her to present various accompanying programs for the reality show (2nd season: Big Brother - Family and Friends ) Big Brother on RTL . In 2003 she performed the RTL 2 program Big Brother - The Battle , the Disney Filmparade on ProSieben and the program Sketch Mix on Sat.1 . In 2008 she hosted Marry Me! The secret project Traumhochzeit on RTL 2. In addition, she moderated the big ABC on RTL with Oliver Geissen .

In 2010, Bechtel returned to Big Brother and hosted the tenth season alone. In August 2010, she and Thomas Anders presented Die neue Hitparade on RTL 2. In 2011, she also presented Big Brother. After her colleague Sonja Zietlow moderated the opening show, Bechtel took over the weekly decision-making programs on May 9, 2011 after her return from maternity leave. In February 2015 she took part in the VOX show Promi Shopping Queen and came third. From 2001 to 2008 she and Brainpool owned a production company called Hasen TV based in Cologne.

Bechtel has been married to the steel trader Alexander Lassen since 2006 and has two sons (* 2006 and * 2011). The family lives in Cologne.
