The new German hit parade is a broadcast produced by Studio D4 , which, according to its own statements, should be a "reissue" of the old ZDF hit parade . It was broadcast at irregular intervals on RTL II on the weekend at 8:15 p.m. Only performers with German-language songs were allowed to perform. Exceptions were DJ Ötzi in the first show with the English-language title Sweet Caroline and Anders | Fahrenkrog in the fifth episode, also with an English song Gigolo .
Events
At the beginning of the first broadcast, Matze Knop was briefly seen in a clip as Dieter Thomas Heck , the first presenter of the ZDF hit parade , in front of the original hit parade clock from Berlin.
Between 2009 and 2011, a total of six issues of the new hit parade were broadcast. All shows were moderated by Aleksandra Bechtel , who initially had co-host Jochen Bendel at her side. In 2010 she got Thomas Anders aside for two issues before she moderated alone from the second New Year's Eve show.
In order to counteract the falling quotas, a ranking system was used from 2011 onwards. On October 30, 2011, RTL II broadcast the last edition of the format after six issues.
Special programs
On December 31, 2009, there was an XXL New Year's Eve edition, which consisted of a new compilation of the first (only) hit parade from October 25, 2009, but which was now supplemented by the performers and performances not shown in the first edition. There was also a New Year's Eve special on December 31, 2010, while in 2011 it was waived after the party show was closed.
