Later she took singing lessons. She plays keyboard , piano and flute . In January 2015 she married the chef Christian Tegeler in Austria. Accident in October 2010
On October 24, 2010, Zimmermann was traveling with her manager and an assistant in a Robinson R44 helicopter to a performance in a discotheque, where she was to receive the Ballermann Award 2010 . During the landing near Altenbeken in the immediate vicinity of the venue, the helicopter crashed from a height of about ten meters over a street ( ⊙ ), causing Zimmermann to suffer life-threatening internal injuries and numerous broken bones. She had to be operated on several times. As a result of the accident, Zimmermann's left arm remained paralyzed , which is why the singer has been wearing an arm sling since then . Since 2014 it has mostly appeared without a noose or with a splint. In May 2017, Zimmermann announced that she could move some of her arm again. According to the investigation report by the BFU , a superposition of several circumstances (load, weather, the occurrence of a vortex ring stage effect and insufficient awareness of the situation) led to the accident.
