The Hollerstauden are an Austrian music trio of new folk music that sings three-part in the Pinzgau dialect . In 2018 the debut album Aus dem Hut conjured up reached a position in the Austrian album charts .

history

Foundation, background

The group was founded in 2014 by Eva Gschwandtner and the sisters Eva Gruber and Vera Egger from Pinzgau in Salzburg . The trio already performed together in musicals in elementary school . Interrupted by education, work and the birth of children, they reunited in 2014 and called themselves Die Hollerstauden . The name was chosen based on the place Hollersbach im Pinzgau , from which the three originally come. As Holler is in the Bavarian-Austrian and the elder called.

Vera Egger worked as a civil engineer, Eva Gruber is a trained kindergarten teacher, Eva Gschwandtner is an undertaker . The mother of Eva Gruber and Vera Egger is an organist and music teacher, their father Kapellmeister. Eva Gschwandtner played her father's guitar as a teenager and composed her first songs.

Their repertoire ranges from Heimatlied to yodelling and oldies to rock and pop . In addition to new lyrics for cover versions , they also write their own songs. The essential element is the three-part singing.

2017

In 2017, they published a video for their song Des fits mir so , a cover version of the song Despacito by Luis Fonsi in the Pinzgau dialect with their own text on YouTube and received over 15 million views. As part of the 13th Top-of-the-Mountains Music Award ceremony , they were honored in the Newcomer of the Year category in 2017 and won the Facebook voting.

2018

In June 2018 they presented their first single Luft und Liebe , a cover version of La Bamba by Ritchie Valens . For this they were honored in the 14th Top-of-the-Mountains Music Award ceremony in 2018 in the category Best Single . In August 2018 they performed live for the first time in front of a large audience at the music festival in Kitzbühel and presented their song Du bist für mi Hoamat . In November 2018, they released their debut album Aus dem Hut , which entered the Austrian album charts at number 47 . In December 2018 they could be seen in the show Magical Christmas on Bavarian and Austrian radio .

2019

As part of the smago! Award Austria & South Tyrol 2019 they were honored as the high starters of the year and the new internet queens . In July 2019 they were on stage for the first time at Wenn die Musipiele - Summer Open Air . They also released the single Ludo as a remix of Georg O. Luksch and air and love was of Anna-Maria Zimmermann in a version with Federal Deutsches High German gecovert.

2020

In May 2020, a 45-minute documentary about the trio was shown on ServusTV . In June 2020 they released the single Commonality and presented their title You are for mi Hoamat in the ORF program Austria blooms - nature in the garden .
