Diana Sorbello (born June 27, 1979 in Bocholt ) is a German pop singer .
Career
Diana Sorbello is the child of an Italian ice cream parlor owner. As a child she was trained in classical ballet for thirteen years and in jazz dance for a year. From 1998 to 2003 she studied sociology , education , and civil law at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster and graduated with a Magister Artium . The main topic of her master's thesis was famous! On the cult cult in the media society - a culture-critical discussion .
In 1996 Sorbello was discovered by the singer of the group Wind . She got her first record deal in 1997 with Koch International as Diana with the title I want back to you . In 1998 she took part in the Grand Prix preliminary round together with the Wind group as Diana & Wind , which remained a unique project. In the summer of 1998 a three-month stay on Mallorca followed in order to gain stage experience. In 1999 she had a music project under the name di-to ("Diana and Thomas"). Since 2001 she has been doing around 30 to 40 live shows a year in the gala and carnival area, each 20 to 30-minute shows with her own and well-known hits / mood songs and pop classics. In 2008 she covered the Ricchi e Poveri song Sara perche ti amo and released it as That's Because I Love You (Sara perche ti amo) .
Diana Sorbello was produced from 2010 by the German music producer Hermann Niesig ( earnapping music production , including Michael Wendler ), who helped her to get a record deal with EMI . In 2011 she moved to the producer Reiner Hömig (including Bläck Fööss ) in Cologne, where she has lived since then.
In 2011 she produced the folk music trio Heidis Erben

In 2002 she appeared in Bild as a figurehead for the soccer World Cup and modeled for a campaign for Krüger Cappuccino , a TV commercial followed in the winter of 2004. From 2004 to 2006 she worked as a weekly columnist for Sport Bild . In 2006, Sorbello had a photo shoot for Maxim .
