The German preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 1998 took place on February 26, 1998 under the title Countdown Grand Prix 1998 in the Bremer Stadthalle. As in previous years, Norddeutscher Rundfunk was responsible for the organization. The program was moderated by Axel Bulthaupt and Nena .
