Jörg Evers

Jörg Evers (born June 21, 1950 in Bayreuth ) is a German guitarist , bassist , composer , arranger and music producer .

Life

Jörg Evers studied musicology at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and orchestration and arrangement at the Richard Strauss Conservatory . From 1971 he went on tour with various rock groups such as Amon Düül II , Embryo and the Peter Maffay Band and released records. In 1972, in his native Bayreuth, he formed the band The Box with Horst Lienhardt and Le-Roy Herz , and in the late 1970s in Munich the punk band The Pack with Gerard Carbonell and Daniel Dynamite .

Since 1976 he has mainly worked as a composer, arranger and producer in various musical genres. In particular, he also composed music for film and television , e.g. B. for the show Herzblatt and the films Werner - Beinhart! and Ballermann 6 as well as Manni Ickx for Manta Manta .

With his musical works Evers has won several gold and platinum awards as well as international prizes such as the “Best Composers Award” at the 9th Tokyo Music Festival and two ASCAP prizes in 2001.

Named Deputy Chairman of the Bavarian Regional Association of the German Composers' Association (DKV) in 1997 , Evers has been the incumbent president of the Federal Association of DKV since 2006. Furthermore, since 2000 he has been a member of the board of the Composers Club and a member of the supervisory board of GEMA (at that time as a representative of the composers' curia). In 2009 he took over the chairmanship of the GEMA Supervisory Board, which he held until March 2012.
