In 1995, as in 1993 and 1994, there was no German preliminary decision on the Eurovision Song Contest as part of a separate television program. The MDR again selected the German contribution internally. The choice fell on the producer and musician couple Glen & Cheyenne Stone, who as Stone & Stone had a top 40 success in Germany in the summer of 1993 with I Wish You Were Here . The title Verliebt in Dich was composed and produced by the performers themselves and was also the first title of the religious couple in German.
In contrast to the two previous years, when the German representatives Münchener Freiheit and Mekado appeared in the MDR entertainment programs Meine Show and Die Goldene Eins , the German contribution was not presented to television viewers before the international competition.
Stone & Stone appeared in the 1995 Eurovision Song Contest as third of 23 participants. They received only one point from Malta and thus finished last.
