Mekado

Mekado was a German trio put together by Ralph Siegel for the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin . It consisted of Melanie Bender , Kati Karney and Dorkas Kiefer . The group name was composed of the first letters of the first names. Her song We give 'ne Party took third place in the competition and scored 128 points in Dublin, but neither the single nor the album was commercially successful. The single, also with the English version We're Givin 'a Party , was number 100 in the German charts for one week. Soon after, the group separated.
