Daniel Kovac (born September 27, 1956 in Črna na Koroškem , Yugoslavia ) is a Slovenian singer and presenter .
Daniel Kovac grew up in Yugoslavia, now Slovenia . In 1968 he left his home country and moved to Germany . He founded his first rock band at the age of thirteen. Since 1979 he has also worked as a studio singer.
In the 1980s he became a television presenter at the first German music channel, musicbox in Munich. He also moderated radio broadcasts for Bayerischer Rundfunk.
Two albums by his band "Call me" also come from this time, with the songs Working Wonders and Mit der Zeit, which achieved cult status in the Bavarian region.
Daniel Kovac was discovered by Ralph Siegel through his studio work . He took part with the song Frei zu Leben in a duet with Chris Kempers as the winner of the German preliminary decision in the Eurovision Song Contest 1990 and finished ninth with her. Daniel Kovac later worked as a presenter for Radio Xanadu and the music channel VH1 . Furthermore, he was the presenter of the program “Nachtcafé” (Sundays 8pm to midnight) on Energy Hamburg 97.1 in 1995/96 .
