Melanie Bender

Melanie Bender (* 7. December 1974 in Mainz ) is a German dance - and rock - singer .

Her father is the singer, music producer and composer Steve Bender , who died in 2006 and who discovered her talent as a child. She learned drums and professional dental technology , but broke off her training and switched to the profession of singer in the early 1990s - encouraged by producer Ralph Siegel .

After the single Summer is over , she came to Ireland to represent Germany for the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest , where she took third place with the singing group Mekado (the girl trio put together by Ralph Siegel ). After appearances in TV shows, on the ZDF hit parade , etc., she decided to work more as a soloist . Her second solo album was produced by her father.
