Also in 1994 there was no public German preliminary decision on the Eurovision Song Contest as part of a separate television program. ARD commissioned the composer and lyricist team Ralph Siegel and Bernd Augener for a competition song . The girls' group Mekado was put together as interpreters . The name was derived from the first names of the three singers Melanie Bender , Kati Karney and Dorkas Kiefer .

The song We give 'ne Party was presented in Germany on March 21, 1994 as part of the television program Die Goldene Eins .

At the Eurovision Song Contest 1994 on April 30, 1994 in Dublin ( Ireland ), this contribution reached third place, albeit a long way behind Ireland and Poland. From two countries, Romania and Hungary, Germany received the highest score with twelve points.

In the German charts, the title We give 'ne party was unsuccessful; he was only able to place himself in the top 100 for one week, namely at number 100.
