Axel Bulthaupt
Axel Bulthaupt (born February 21, 1966 in Melle ) is a German moderator .
Life
After graduating from high school in Melle , Bulthaupt studied history and literature in Osnabrück and Hamburg and was already working for a newspaper on the side. In 1989 he completed an internship at the North German Broadcasting Corporation .
After joining the radio program Overture at NDR , he quickly got into television work. For NDR he moderated the youth magazine Jetzt geht’s and the talk show LebensArt . In 1994 Bulthaupt switched to MDR , where he hosted the ARD tabloid magazine Brisant from 1994 to 2003 . In 2000, Axel Bulthaupt, Griseldis Wenner and Ines Krüger were awarded the Bambi as explosive moderators for the best TV tabloid magazine .
In 2003, the series Expedition Bulthaupt started , which deals with Central German history and archeology, for example with the primitive people of Bilzingsleben or the Kyhna district moat . From 2004 to June 2016 he worked as a talk show host on the MDR show Unter Uns and presented the entertainment show Sunday - The Show of Surprises on MDR television . His first book, Heidi and Klara in Italy , a travel book for children , was published in March 2007 .

In addition, from October 2013 to January 2020, Bulthaupt moderated the program Kripo live on MDR television every Sunday evening . In addition, Axel Bulthaupt can be seen on MDR as the moderator of the series: “Sagenhaft” (since 2013, Sundays at 8:15 pm) and “The East - discover where you live” (2011-2016, Tuesdays at 8:45 pm).
