The German Society for Prevention and intervention in child abuse and neglect (DGfPI) eV was on 8 May 2009 as an association which was founded in Hanover in 1994 German society against child abuse and neglect eV and the Federal Association for the prevention of sexual violence against boys and girls founded . The DGfPI has around 800 natural members as well as member associations such as Safe Network Helps and the Active Association.
Self-image
The DGfPI sees itself as an interest group for all professions that constantly deal with the neglect and abuse of children and young people or their parents.
activity
In addition to the regular membership magazine, the DGfPI organizes specialist conferences. The association operates the website Kindmisshandlung.de. On behalf of the Federal Ministry of Family Affairs , it is carrying out the nationwide advanced training campaign 2010–2014 to strengthen the ability of employees in child and youth welfare to prevent sexualised violence .
Kristina zur Mühlen and Axel Bulthaupt are ambassadors for child protection at the German Society for Prevention and Intervention in Child Abuse and Neglect (DGfPI). The association is supported by the Nuremberg Auerbach Foundation and the Help for Children campaign .
