Gerrit Winter , artist name Gee Road (born July 3, 1983 in Oldenburg ) is a German singer, presenter and voice teacher .

Life

Winter wanted to become a singer at an early age and did a school internship in a recording studio at the age of 17. At the end of the internship he was given a CD production. He took professional singing lessons and took part in auditions. In 2001 he came under the last 30 at a “pop act” casting with 7000 participants. Two years later, after completing his high school diploma, he came to the RTL II television show Fame Academy , where he performed the soul pop song Back at One occurred. After three months, however, he was not one of the six participants who were voted into the winning band Become One . During this time he moderated as a co-host on the RTL 2 music show THE DOME and was a guest on MTV select, among others. He then continued to work on his music career, began studying music / musicology and theology and also worked as a model.

In the following years Winter switched to German music. In 2006, he released his first single If Only For A Day . Winter, who also writes songs himself, was soon signed to Universal in early 2007 and produced his debut album Wovung du träumst du träumst du in spring 2009 . On October 9, the title song was released as a single and entered the German charts at the end of the month. His album Wovon Träumst du came out on October 23, 2009 and Winter appeared in various TV shows (for example Die neue Hitparade on December 31, 2009) to further promote his music.

In 2011 Winter got a record deal with Warner Music Germany . In August 2012, Winter released the single King for a Day under the stage name Gee Road , which he presented on August 12, 2012 on the ZDF show Fernsehgarten .

Under the new name he delivered the title song of the same name for the Miss Germany 2013 election , which was presented on February 22, 2013 at 1und1.de and was presented live for the first time on February 23, 2013 at the final of the Miss Germany 2013 election.

Since 2010, the musicologist and theologian has been working as a vocal coach and voice expert as well as a business coach. a. for the London Business School, various TV productions and celebrities such as Birgit Schrowange .

He is also on stage as a speaker and lecturer, for example for AIDA, and works as a moderator, for example for the Kabel-1 format “Adventure Life” or the RTL format “The Fact Checker”.
