What you want is a German-language studio album by Danish singer Gitte Hænning from 2010. It contains 8 new recordings of her singles, which entered the German charts between 1963 and 1983, and 4 new tracks. All tracks were produced by Roland Spremberg and Christian Lohr, and Jasmin Wagner , Maya Singh and Gitte Hænning themselves were involved in the songwriting of the new songs . The album was released on November 19, 2010. It was also released as a vinyl EP, which contains 5 tracks from the CD and an acoustic version of "With each parting begins was something". After 26 years it was Gitte Hænning's first solo album that made it into the German charts. It reached number 94 in the first week. Since the album was released, all of Gitte Hænning's concerts have been running under the heading "What you want" for several years. Before the break, mostly songs from the albums "Was ihr wollt" and its predecessor "Johansson" were played, while after the break an almost two-hour jazz set always followed.
