Georges Bizimana

Georges Bizimana (born March 12, 1965 in Buraniro , Ngozi Province , Burundi ) is a Burundian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Ngozi .

Life

Georges Bizimana received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Ngozi on August 20, 1994 .

On 7 December 2013 it appointed Pope Francis to Coadjutor Bishop of Bubanza . The Bishop of Ngozi, Gervais Banshimiyubusa , donated him episcopal ordination on March 1, 2014 ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Bujumbura , Evariste Ngoyagoye , and the Archbishop of Gitega , Simon Ntamwana .

On December 17, 2019, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Ngozi. The inauguration took place on January 25, 2020.
