The Bistum Bubanza ( lat. : Dioecesis Bubantina ) is an in Burundi preferred Roman Catholic diocese based in Bubanza .

history

The diocese of Bubanza was established on June 7, 1980 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Venerabilibus Fratribus from ceding territories of the Diocese of Bujumbura and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Gitega as a suffragan . On November 25, 2006, the Bubanza diocese was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Bujumbura as a suffragan.
