Nic (born April 9, 1981 in Duisburg ; actually Mirco Harald Goronzy ) is a German pop singer . He became known in 2006 with the party hit One Star .

Career

After graduating from school, he completed training as a social worker. In addition to his professional activity, he worked as a DJ in his spare time . At an artists' meeting in Dortmund he got to know the music producer Peter Sebastian , who invited him to Hamburg for test recordings . This collaboration resulted in Nic's debut single Geschickt gefädelt in 2001 . As the song became a popular mood hit, Nic decided to focus on his music career.

In cooperation with the music producer Heike Hielscher , he recorded the single in 2005, Hast probably not heard the bang . Finally, in 2006, produced by Arnold Weß, Nic's debut album Simsalabim was released . The first single extracted from it, one star (original by Nik P. ), became a party hit over the summer of 2006, especially in the discos of Mallorca .

After the song entered the German single charts at the end of 2006, Nic received a contract with the record label EMI . Although he then had other smaller chart successes, Nic could no longer build on the great success of One Star . Nic has been with the DA Music record label since 2011. There, on August 26th, 2011 his album Was would be released.

In 2014, against the singer u. a. the allegations of rape and domestic violence against his ex-girlfriends loudly. The allegations were the subject of criminal proceedings in March 2016. In April 2016, Nic was acquitted on all counts by the Aachen Regional Court based on contradicting witness statements.

Nic announced the end of his career in spring 2018. In January 2019, the singer married his long-time girlfriend and manager Ela Grunert in Essen. A few weeks later, Nic announced his musical comeback on Facebook.
