Podenzano is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 9196 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Piacenza in Emilia-Romagna . The municipality is located about 11 kilometers south of Piacenza in the Po Valley between the Trebbia and Nure rivers .

traffic

The former Strada Statale 654 di Val Nure , which has now been downgraded to a provincial road, runs through the municipality . The former railway line from Piacenza to Bettola , on which there was a train station, was closed in 1967.
