Carpaneto Piacentino is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 7669 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Piacenza in Emilia-Romagna . The municipality is located about 17 kilometers southeast of Piacenza between the Nure and Arda rivers .
history
The place is mentioned for the first time in 815 as a settlement of the Longobards. In 1216 the Castell was built in the district of Zena . Further fortifications (the Castello di Badagnano and the Castello di Olmeto ) are located in the Badagnano district.
