Villanova sull'Arda is an Italian commune ( comune ) with 1698 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Piacenza in Emilia-Romagna . The municipality is located about ten kilometers south of Piacenza and borders the provinces of Cremona ( Lombardy ) and Parma . The Po limits the municipality in the northeast.

In addition to the main town, the municipality includes the districts of Cignano, Sant'Agata and Soarza.

Culture

The former Giuseppe Verdis estate , the Villa Verdi , was built in 1848 in the district of Sant'Agata .
