Rivergaro is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 7046 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Piacenza in Emilia-Romagna . The municipality is located about 18 kilometers southwest of Piacenza on the Trebbia in the Val Trebbia piacentina .
history
The Villa Anguissola-Scotti, planned by Lotario Tomba in 1778, is built on the foundations of a fortification from the 11th century. The Castello di Montechiaro is still worth seeing from the 13th century (1234) .
