Bruno Gaburro

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bruno Gaburro (born June 5, 1939 in Rivergaro , Piacenza Province ) is an Italian film director and screenwriter .

Life

Gaburro studied acting with Esperia Sperani and then devoted himself to documentary film as an assistant director. After the short film 25 secondi sul Lago di Garda he turned to the feature film. His debut Ecce homo was an attempt, influenced by Marco Ferreri , to describe a post-atomic society; he was able to engage several well-known actors for it. All of the films that followed were, however, less artistically than commercially remarkable; Gaburro succeeded again and again to achieve great audiences with his comedies . After excursions to sex films (under pseudonyms ) he shot the successful Abbronzatissimi films and from 1998 for Italian television.

Gaburro was married to Erika Blanc from 1962 to 1977 , whom he also discovered for the film.
