Former town hall (Mairie) of Inghem

Inghem ( Dutch : Ingheim ) is a former French commune in the department of Pas-de-Calais in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belonged to the arrondissement of Saint-Omer and the canton of Fruges (until 2015: canton of Aire-sur-la-Lys ). The inhabitants are called Inghemois .

With effect from September 1, 2016, it was merged with the former municipality of Herbelles to form Commune nouvelle Bellinghem . Inghem is a commune déléguée with 532 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) within the new municipality.

Inghem is about 41 kilometers southeast of Calais . Inghem is surrounded by the neighboring villages of Helfaut in the north, Ecques in the east, Clarques in the south and south-east, Herbelles in the south-west and Pihem in the west and north-west.

The A26 autoroute leads through the surrounding area .
