Geestdorf ( Low German Geestdbod ) is a district of the Gnarrenburg community in the Rotenburg (Wümme) district in Lower Saxony .

Geographical location

Geestdorf is located in the northern part of the Gnarrenburg area.

history

19th century

Geestdorf had ten residential buildings with 63 inhabitants in 1848 and belonged to the Vogtei Gnarrenburg in the Bremervörde district . On December 1st, 1871 there were already 207 inhabitants in 20 houses. For the year 1895 444 inhabitants are given.

Incorporations

In 1904 Geestdorf was incorporated into Gnarrenburg. In the course of the regional reform on April 8, 1974, the Gnarrenburg community, which still exists today, was created.
