history
Fahrendorf district
Fahrendorf was founded in 1775 as part of the moor colonization . From 1775 on there was a glassworks on the Fahrenberge , which had a decisive influence on the economic development of the surrounding villages. In 1791 it is stated that the number of households was 26, among which 131 residents, including 76 children, were distributed. In the middle of the 19th century, the district of “Black Flag” developed into an auxiliary farmer.
The district of Fahrendorf was already strongly oriented towards the city of Bremervörde. The parish of the St. Liborius parish Bremervörde includes Fahrendorf and is therefore responsible for church support and confirmation lessons . Occasionally children go to school in Bremervörde.
Fahrendahl district
Fahrendahl was founded in 1782, but in 1791 it is stated that the ten fire pits are still unoccupied.
The district of Fahrendahl is largely directed towards the community Gnarrenburg and the local church.
Incorporations
On April 8, 1974, Fahrendorf was incorporated into the community Gnarrenburg as part of the regional reform .
