Kuhstedtermoor ( Low German Kuhstermoor ) is a district of the municipality Gnarrenburg in the district of Rotenburg (Wümme) in Lower Saxony .

Geographical location

Kuhstedtermoor is located about 4 km south of Kuhstedt , 3.5 km west of Karlshöfen , 3.5 km north of Ostersode and is about 5 km southwest of the core town of Gnarrenburg.

Waters

The Kollbeck, an outflow of the Hamme , flows through the local area of ​​Kuhstedtermoor , which together with the "Durchstich zur Kreuzkuhle" from the various ditches forms the Oste-Hamme Canal, which runs through the villages of Findorf , Barkhausen (Gnarrenburg) , Langenhausen , Klenkendorf runs and finally flows into the Oste in Spreckens .

history

Local history

Kuhstedtermoor was founded in 1850 as the last moor colony in the Gnarrenburg area from "Große Kuhstedter Moor", a part of the neighboring village of Kuhstedt. At that time, 28 growing sites of 53 acres each  (13.25 hectares) were sold instead of being assigned according to the Meierrecht .

In 1855 Kuhstedtermoor was recognized as a single municipality. Ecclesiastically, Kuhstedtermoor belongs to Kuhstedt.

Incorporations

On April 8, 1974, Kuhstedtermoor was incorporated into the community of Gnarrenburg as part of the regional reform .
