Dahldorf ( Low German Dahld Körper ) is a district of the Gnarrenburg community in the Rotenburg (Wümme) district of Lower Saxony in Germany .

Geographical location

Dahldorf is about seven kilometers south of Basdahl , one kilometer southwest of Gnarrenburg, about five kilometers north of Nordsode and about two kilometers west of Barkhausen .

Waters

Larger bodies of water or rivers do not flow through Dahldorf. However, due to the former moorland, Dahldorf is crossed by numerous drainage ditches.

history

Local foundation

Dahldorf was founded in 1782 in the course of the moor colonization of the Teufelsmoor . In 1789, however, it is stated that the place has so far been undeveloped.

Incorporations

In 1932, the Dahldorf bog colony was incorporated into what was then the Gnarrenburg community. In the course of the regional reform on April 8, 1974, the Gnarrenburg community, which still exists today, was created.

Culture and sights

Bee training station

In the 1990s , the “Gnarrenburg Beekeeping Association” set up a “bee training facility” that was freely accessible to the public on a piece of moorland. Visitors and tourists can find out more about beekeeping and the life of bees through several panels.
