Location of the community of Dalldorf in the Duchy of Lauenburg | ||
Dalldorf is a municipality in the Duchy of Lauenburg in Schleswig-Holstein .
geography
The community of Dalldorf lies between the state road 200 and the state border to Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania formed by the Stecknitz (Delvenau) between the larger towns of Lauenburg and Büchen . The municipality is cut through by the Elbe-Lübeck Canal and the Lübeck – Lüneburg railway line .
history
The village was first mentioned in the Ratzeburg tithe register of 1230 as Dalthorp . There was an estate next to the village that was owned by the von Dalldorf family from the 12th century to 1715 as a kunkellehen . The Wotersen estate also belonged to the Dalldorf family . After 1715 there were a number of changes of ownership. In 1933 the estate was relocated and is now only preserved as a rest yard. The foundations of the manor house can be traced back to the von Dalldorf family. The village has always been characterized by agriculture, although today only three farms are still fully employed. After the wall was built in 1961, the place was isolated on the edge of the zone. The stop on the Büchen - Lauenburg railway line was closed. In 1989 the concrete bridge over the Stecknitz to Zweedorf in Mecklenburg was reopened.
