Location of the community Groß Disnack in the Duchy of Lauenburg | ||
Groß Disnack is a municipality in the Duchy of Lauenburg in Schleswig-Holstein . Bartelsbusch, Klosterberg and Pogeez are in the municipality.
history
The earliest documented mention comes from the year 1229, when Duke Albrecht I donated the villages of Pogeez and Disnack to the Order of St. John in Jerusalem. Theories suggest that the first Benedictine monastery of the monk Ansverus is said to have stood on the monastery mountain near Disnack. As early as 1250, Groß Disnack was sold to the Reinfeld monastery for 700 Lübsche marks and was in its possession until 1482. The additional designation large appeared for the first time in 1517, in contrast to Wendisch-Disnack ("Small Disnack"), which has belonged to Pogeez since 1974 . The village has belonged to the Duchy of Lauenburg since 1482 . In 1928 the Bartelsbusch forest estate became part of the Groß Disnack community.
